My sister’s body remained in a Calgary morgue for six months. Her story is why I am walking across Canada to help families resolve conflict before silence replaces care.

Suzette Pope

Suzette lived with depression and a deep sense of abandonment.
Her life was complex, and her struggles were real.

This memorial honors her truthfully and turns her story into a commitment to healing for others who feel unseen.

My Syster has massive purpose

Suzette Pope

In Suzette Popes Name it's time for change

Canadians no longer accept the abuse from this inhuman justice system. You’ve lost all credibility to protect and serve a society.  When you have no value for human life you are the enemy of human rights.

  • I loved my sister very much. However, her lifestyle was harmful to my children, so I had to keep my distance, and we had not spoken for years.
  • I do have a brother who has been missing since he gained power of attorney over both our parents. This happened after my father made repeated death threats toward a neighbor, and my brother, Pierre, took control of their affairs. He then sold his own property and our parents’ property, moving all assets into his name. Both of our parents died shortly after, penniless.
  • There are millions of dollars that should be part of Suzette Pope’s estate, as well as amounts owed to me. Pierre has not come forward to claim any share of Suzette’s estate in over a year. Based on his past behavior, it appears he would owe more to the estate than he could claim.
  • When Suzette died, I was informed by a cousin—through my daughter—that my aunt, Jeanne Lathangue, was taking charge of Suzette’s funeral and estate, and that I, as next of kin, was not needed. I relied on that information. Suzette was then left in a morgue for six months until a judge ordered her burial.
  • I have now spent nearly six months trying to gain access to her estate. During that time:
      • four filings were rejected
      • two urgency requests were denied
      • no other heir has come forward
  • Despite this, access has still not been granted.
  • During this process, I lost the RV I was living in and am now homeless. The estate remains inaccessible and unprotected.
  • At this point, I am forced to walk away to protect my mental health.
  • A system that continues a process despite clear hardship, and without resolving the situation, raises serious questions about its ability to protect life, property, and basic human stability.

The fire burned the RV, but not the words
GOD WALKER.

After four provinces, the first news shows only the picture — no story, only the message.

The fire became the stage, and the message was left for God’s people.

Watch how God turns this into something greater than before.

The Walk

Mile One Victoria B.C.

“The walk begins: One woman, one mission, one big pink elephant.”
(Every step is a step away from silence.)

Where It Began
British Columbia
Mothers Day 2023

I started this journey on foot, pushing a stroller and sleeping on the side of the road. I knew that walking across Canada would force people to take notice. I was welcomed in British Columbia, really enjoyed walking through the mountains and the people I crossed paths with.

The Big Pink Elephant
The Conversation Canada Needs to Have

Imagine this RV fully wrapped in a giant pink elephant.

The conversations it would spark.
The unity it would attract.
The peace it could spread—just by being seen.
